CAROL BURNETT CENTER

The Carol Burnett Center is owned by American Sunrise, and was once the home of Carol Burnett’s grandmother. It is designated as a historic home, located in San Antonio, Texas at 2006 W. Commerce Street. Carol Burnett, born in San Antonio in 1933, lived in this home with her grandmother as a child, and has many fond memories there. Original wood floors still contain the track marks from when Carol Burnett roller skated inside the home on its smooth wood floors. The property was donated by Bill Miller Bar-B- Q to American Sunrise, and fully renovated by HEB as a gift to American Sunrise. It is not currently affiliated with Carol Burnett but we affectionately call it the Carol Burnett Center since she lived there as a child.

The property boasts 2 large open rooms adjacent to each other, perfect for holding concurrent meetings, or serving refreshments in one room while using the 2nd space for other uses. There is a 3rd smaller room which can be used for private meetings, break-out space, administrative use, bride’s dressing room, or storage. Our kitchen includes use of the sink, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. There are 2 handicapped accessible restrooms and the property has handicap railings and ramps. This property has a gorgeous wraparound porch and lush lawn with plenty of shade trees, on a fenced in lot. The property is beautiful for weddings, and small celebrations such as birthday, graduation, bridal/baby showers. Handicapped parking is also available.

The Carol Burnett Center is located just 2.2 miles from the Alamo, 5 miles from Rivercenter Mall and 11 miles from San Antonio Airport. This property will be excellent for your business meeting or small private event up to 47 guests. The Carol Burnett Center does not allow pets, or smoking. We do allow food and beverage to be brought in. No cooking is allowed on the property. A cleaning fee and security deposit is required. Upon satisfactory inspection the security deposit will be returned, and the cleaning fee remains with the property for cleaning services. The Carol Burnett Center is available for community as well as private events.

Studies show, the more reading material available to young children, the more they will be likely to pick up a book, and read for fun.

Reading from a young age is very important to shaping a child's life, personality and mental development.
